The new mobile communications standard 5G (fifth generation) is gaining in popularity. 5G supports data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s and thus enables a much faster data transfer than the previously common LTE technology.
A nationwide 5G network offers immense advantages for logistics and industry: Real-time data transfer and delay times (latency) of less than one millisecond enable further digitization of the supply chain through the use of intelligent technologies such as IoT or machine learning.
