Machine learning is a subset of artificial intelligence (AI) that uses data to identify patterns and thus becomes able to solve problems and find solutions. Thus, machine learning generates new, artificial knowledge based on empirical values, which can be used for forecasts etc. In contrast to deep learning, people engage in the machine learning process by equipping the system with the relevant algorithms and data and by defining rules for analysis.
