In the US, Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving. It is not only considered to be the start of the traditional family weekend, but also a starting signal for the Christmas business. Since 2005, in the US, Black Friday has been leading to the highest revenues of the year and serves as an important indicator for the upcoming holiday season.

Black Friday is followed by Cyber Monday. Both days have also gained international recognition through Amazon and are now an important part of global e-commerce.
